Skippers will be required to confirm that all their crew are fully vaccinated as part of the compliance with their online entry.

A reminder that the 2021 J24 NSW STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS will be held on the weekend of 6 and 7 November 2021. The event will be run by RANSA on Sydney Harbour in the vicinity of Clark and Shark Islands, and will comprise 6 WW/LW races over two days, with the first warning signal at 1025.

The Notice of Race and entry details are on the RANSA website here: Official Notice Board: NoRs, SIs and Amendments – RAN Sailing Association

Gosford Spring Regatta 3 & 4th October update

Hi Everyone,

    • NSW J24 AGM will be held at 6pm on Fri 2nd Oct – Boat Shed Bar
    • Addendum 1
    • Safety and COVID 19 Health Orders2020 Information for Competitors Recreational boating is now permitted under the NSW Government Public Health Orders; however these orders may be reversed if boaters are seen to be disregarding the requirements for social distancing or clubs become a source of transmission. Gosford Sailing Club is pleased to be able to re-commence sailing in June, but COVID-19 is still with us and therefore we need to adapt the way we sail. We are all obliged to work together to fight the transmission of the virus, so the club has introduced some new requirements for racing. At Home• Any tasks that can be done at home, should be done at home (e.g. debriefing etc). • It is strongly recommended that all sailors download the Australian Government COVID -19 contact tracing app (COVID Safe) and keep it active at all times. • It is also recommended that sailors be tested for COVID-19. • If you are a person with high risk of COVID-19,or have symptoms of the Virus (even if mild), stay at home. Before RacingTo provide for possible tracing, all competing boats are now required to register all their crew details (Crew Name and AS Number or SailPass Number) before each race. The penalty for not registering before the finish time of the last boat is disqualification from the race.

To register: Sign ON All Skippers and crew shall fill out the online form from the QR link.

While we are all missing the usual social atmosphere of our club, it will be open with limited capacity and there will be no prizegiving get-togethers after sailing. The “new normal” for sailing at GSC and other NSW clubs is GET IN, SAIL & GET OUT • Arrive dressed and ready to sail • No use of change rooms, bathrooms and communal areas at this stage • Shower at home instead of at the club • The 4m2 rule applies ashore and sailors should maintain at least 1.5m distance • Avoid congregating at the Marina, Boatshed and on the beach • Hand hygiene stations will be available at a number of locations

J24 membership for 2020 is $60

Look forward to seeing you all, even if from 1.5m 😇
