In order to assist Royal Prince Edward Yacht Club to process your entry, please remember to only send your entry form in once you have the mandatory attachments to send with it:
- 1. Inventory of Required and Optional Equipment.
- 2. Copy of a Current Audited Category 7 Equipment Compliance Certificate.
- 3. Certificate of currency for yacht insurance including a third party cover of $10 million
Crane use and moorings at RPEYC must be booked in advance, and details are in the Notice of Race.
The J24 Association of NSW are subsidising a Crew Dinner for association members at RPEYC on Saturday 4 November, bookings through Tracy on 9327 3149 are essential.
Shane started his sail making career under the guidance of Ian MacDiarmid, working at MacDiarmid Sails for seventeen years before eventually purchasing the company in 2013 prior to merging with Doyle Sydney in 2015. From skiffs to maxi yachts, Shane has the expertise for building all types of sails and brings invaluable experience to the Doyle team. Both Shane and Ian have a successful history racing J24s and Shane is currently on the J24 Kaotic program bringing a host of success to the team and is a former national champion in the class crewing for Sean Kirkjian.
A hugely experienced sailor, Shane’s impressive resume covers offshore racing, including ten Sydney-Hobart races, and several classes. Recent racing success includes 1st Overall (IRC) as helmsman on Victoire in the 2014 Gosford to Lord Howe Island race, 1st Overall as trimmer on Zen in the 2014 Lincoln Race Week, and helmsman for Victoire’s 1st Overall IRC/ORCi in the Sydney-Hobart.
